Kiel, Germany, is set to provide a spectacular backdrop to Round 4 of the 2009 iShares Cup. Last year the Kiel leg of the iShares Cup proved a phenomenal success, with around 80,000 spectators lining the shore to watch the Extreme 40s racing just metres away. The Ecover Extreme 40 Sailing team will have a short break before heading back out to the next destination on the circuit, Kiel in Germany.

It was the last race of the day with double points on offer that was the best result over the three days, as Ecover had s storming run to take second place and 18 points!

It was a day of intense racing for the Extreme 40 fleet on Day 2 of the iShares Cup in Cowes. The grey skies and drizzle from yesterday was replaced with blue skies and sunshine, and more consistent conditions.

The Ecover Extreme 40 Sailing Team will be joined by Antarctic adventurer Ben Fogle for Round 3 the iShares Cup, which kicks off this Saturday 1st August from Cowes, Isle of Wight.

The iShares Cup returns to Cowes for Round 3 from August 1st-3rd, and brings a brand new addition to the bustling shoreside scene during the entire Cowes Week regatta. The iShares Cup Race Village at Cowes Week looks set to become Cowes’ newest hot spot this August, with the all-new Extreme Bar and tented village open all week on Egypt Point, just minutes along from The Green, the prime shoreside viewing area for spectators.
16.07.09LOOKING FORWARD TO ROUND 3 OF THE iSHARES CUP
Round 3 of the iShares Cup 2009 at Cowes Week is fast approaching. Last year the third leg of the European circuit, held on the Solent in the UK, was one of the most dramatic sailing events of the season, with the high performance Extreme 40s battling strong winds and steep waves for some truly extreme racing! This year the iShares Cup returns to Cowes from Saturday 1st-Monday 3rd August, with practice day racing on Friday July 31st.
