On Saturday Mike Golding and the Ecover Extreme 40 crew will race in the J.P.Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race. The Extreme 40's are the first start at 0500 as they take on this classic race, which will see over 1750 boats compete over the 50 mile course around the Isle of Wight. There is a crew change for Ecover as Jonathan Taylor is competing abroad during this event, so Ecover has a new bowman in the form of America's Cup and Volvo Ocean Race sailor Andrew McLean (NZL).

Mike has participated in this classic race in previous years on his IMOCA Open 60, winning his class on Ecover 3 when he last participated in 2008.
